much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.
Hi Casper, It's a very rare thing to see those elusive creatures here, and I've even put up a humming bird feeder in the back yard and have planted honeysuckle. I keep hoping one day!

i've got two boxes full of watchtower and awake magazines dating back to 2000 maybe abit further.

All my books (with the exception of a few) went in the recycle. Trust me, no one is going to read them once they go in that truck. They are dumped at the sorting station, compressed and bailed.

dagney has just lost someone very close to her who meant the world to her.. death is hard enough to deal wtih when you're a jw - when the rug has been taken from underneath you and you are no longer sure of what happens when someone dies and have no idea whether you will ever see that person again (most unlikely) it is even harder to bear.. just sending my loving thoughts to you honey - don't want to ignore your loss but finding it hard to say the right words..... (i was never stuck before).

Hope the bad dreams have dissappeared with the rising of the glorious sun to chase away all that goes bump in the night for us.
Beautiful sunny breezy morning there. Almost didn't want to get out of bed today for some reason, but am glad I did. I'm enjoying sitting on the back deck in the sun, feeling the nice breeze, and enjoying a cup of tea. I went and bought flowers for the deck, have been remiss this year in my gardening, This spring wasn't the best for me personally and didn't feel like doing something I truly love and enjoy, but things are seeming on the upswing now and I have flowers to enjoy.
Void Eater - how wonderful for you and your partner!! I'm sooooooo sooooooo happy for you both! Wish I could be there to hug and kiss you and congratulate you in person!!
